a change of pace

I've decided to put my blogger back on life support but to take a new approach to blogging. In the past, most of my posts have been philosophical, political, or those who have read my blogs since early college may remember skimming through a huge pile of partially-digested emo mush.

The new direction of this blog will be a timeline of my own ventures into art and music to find those who have pushed (or are pushing) lateral boundaries to create something completely innovative.

I'll start this off with a live video from Oklahoma City based psychedelic jam band The Flaming Lips from their latest album Embryonic:

  1. Good for you, Chance. This is the first time I've seen your blog so I don't know about the emo mush you speak of but I love it. It's funny to get a little older and look back and see the stages. I went through a period where all I wanted to do was drop out of school, move to Seattle (dreary, artistic) and work in a coffee shop. Hmmm, good thing I didn't follow through with that one! Looking forward to reading and thanks for following mine as well!

  2. Haha. You're right, the past stages are funny. While we're young and dumb we are honestly trying to figure out how to set ourselves up to live the best life possible, but get a little lost along the way. During college we are influenced by all these new and radical ideas that we've never been exposed to, which is GREAT as long as you don't use them as a foundation for your whole lifestyle. Sometimes it takes a good family's positive influence to keep you focused on the right direction!
